Combined AI Governance and Risk Management Training

Due to popular demand, we have combined our existing AI Governance and Risk Management trainings into a complete two-day training course. It is designed specifically for professionals responsible for safety-critical systems.

AI is now being widely used across healthcare organisations — but is often still without the structured governance and safety assurance expected of other health technologies. Governance may be lagging behind, but when something goes wrong, named individuals are responsibile.

This course gives practical frameworks and tools to apply safety thinking to AI with confidence — ideal for those who will be responsible for assuring this type of technology.

AI Governance

Governance = organisational control and accountability.

Learn how to oversee AI safely and responsibly in real healthcare environments.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Establish clear governance structures for AI design, procurement, and deployment
  • Define accountability and oversight responsibilities that work in practice
  • Ensure transparency and meaningful human oversight in AI-supported decisions
  • Integrate AI governance into existing safety standards and quality management systems
  • Apply recognised frameworks such as ISO 42001 and BS 30440 in a practical, usable way.

Attendees will leave with a structured approach to governing AI — not just principles, but implementable governance.

AI Risk Management

Risk management = technical safety assessment and hazard control.

Develop the specialist risk management skills needed to assess AI as a safety-critical technology.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Identify AI-specific hazards and embed them within established safety case approaches
  • Assess and manage bias, performance degradation, explainability challenges, and model drift
  • Apply ISO 14971 risk management principles to AI / ML systems
  • Conduct robust AI impact and safety assessments suitable for real-world deployment
  • Align AI risk management with DCB0129, DCB0160, ISO 42001, BS 30440 and AMLAS expectations.

Attendees will gain a practical method for assessing and managing AI risk — even when systems are adaptive, opaque, or continuously evolving.
